Anyone shopping today or keeping their eye out for deals? I really want to get my holiday shopping underway but I'm not sure what I am even looking for. I did get an echodot for 18.99 though!

I grabbed two echo dots! But now I am kind of stuck - want to find deals but don’t want to buy just to buy.
Target and Best Buy are also having deal days. Target has $10 of $50 or $20 off $100 toy deals, on top of lots of good sale prices.

I spent some time last night filling my cart with Christmas presents we were already planning on (I'm a bit Type A, so I've had a running excel list for about 4-5 months with present ideas), and were fine with paying full price on. Then, instead of checking out, I waited until today to see if anything was just on Prime Deals. Saved $25 total, which is WAY better than we expected! DD's 2 big gifts (a scooter and a helmet) were both "Prime Day Deals" and accounted for most of those savings.

@smuckers: I’m glad I’m not alone. I have our Christmas list pretty much completed already as well. The only thing from it that was on sale was magnatiles so I grabbed those!
I was hoping to score some smart devices today and did get some switches. I wanted more Hue bulbs though but only the sets with the hubs included were on sale and we already have a hub.

@LadyDi: I realized it was prime day at about 2:00 🤦♀️ Only one item on my saved list was a prime deal so I got that. I had also earned $10 in prime day cash somehow so I ended up paying $3 for a $20 rescue bots set for my son! It will go in his Christmas stocking

I got a few odds and ends! A huge play doh set, art thing for DD, and reusable silicone bags. I was tempted by the kindle paperwhite, but I really prefer a regular book.

I got a bunch of books in the 3 for the price of 2 deal at Target. I also got a calico critters set. I would have gotten a Sarah Wells bag except I just bought one a few weeks ago, oops. Tomorrow I might have DD look through the baby toys to pick one as a gift for the new baby.

@winter_wonder: While Prime Day is still going on, I just want to speak up in defence of the Kindle.
I thought the same, about preferring a regular book, and I still generally feel that way, but there are times when you can't beat the Kindle - commutes, vacations, etc. It's also, in these covid times, so easy to get new books without having to go to the store!

@erinbaderin: true! I have an old style kindle. I'm just not sure I can justify an upgrade. I do remember loving the kindle when DD was a baby though! Holding it in one hand was amazing!

@bees_knees: Thanks! I ended up getting them on Target during those deals. I got the Graco Turbobooster high backed booster for my 7yo and Graco Extend2Fit for my 11 month old.

I got a Echo show 8 for only 30 bucks (after trade in discount and $5 credit for my 2nd gen dot), a 3qt instant pot, and a bunch of random toys and stuff.
I thought the same, about preferring a regular book, and I still generally feel that way, but there are times when you can't beat the Kindle - commutes, vacations, etc. It's also, in these covid times, so easy to get new books without having to go to the store!
