I have some high-resolution PDFs that contain design pieces for Xander's birthday party. I'd like to order prints... does anyone know of an on-line place (like mpix, though mpix doesn't let me upload pdfs) where I can do this?

I second the local printer, I don't know if you guys have Fedex Office down there (formerly Kinkos) but places like that can do it for sure and quickly.

I would really suggest using a local printer for things like this. Colors can be off, resolution can be lost, and a local print shop will help you with all this as well as show you a proof before they print it all.

@hellobeeboston: @babycanuck: @T.H.O.U.: haha, thanks ladies! I actually am trying to go through a local printer, but I haven't heard back from them, so wasn't sure if there was a better suggestion.

Yea I agree, Most of those shops don't have the best phone service, they really do everything in person. Office Depot, Kinko/FedEx/etc.

@T.H.O.U.: Oh really? Okay, maybe I should try just stopping by. Thanks!

@Adira: Yea I mean its kinda like car shopping, you wouldn't really ever call. I mean you could, and you might get a call back, its just not really how those businesses operate.

@T.H.O.U.: Oh, haha, I've never used one before, so I didn't know!! I figured phone/e-mail was the best for that since I'm going to have to send them my documents, but maybe an in-person visit would be better! I'll just put my documents on a thumb-drive in case they need them when I stop in. Thanks!

If you're deadset on printing online, I have had very good luck with both Catprint and PSPrint. Much better color reproduction and quality control than Vistaprint, although you'll pay a bit more for it.

Alphagraphics? But that's more for business prints, i think they can print on nicer textured stock but you may want to email them. I do all my Christmas card printings (for clients) with them for years.

I would go visit a print shop in person and take your files with you on a flash drive.
