My little guy (7 months) is on his second round of antibiotics for an ear infection that didn't go away. They prescribed augmentin and I've been warned about diarrhea. Can anyone recommend a good probiotic? And where did you get it? I haven't given him yogurt yet but maybe I will try. I just don't want to do too many new things at once since we're still introducing veggies.

Our pediatrician recommended Gerber Soothe probiotics. 5 drops on the tongue a day and she seems to enjoy the taste.

D is on culturelle, I just crush the tablet and mix it in his formula.

We just got a jar of Udo's probiotics. Only used it a few times so I can't comment on the effectiveness. I'm not sure if we'll see a noticeable difference, but I've heard it's good for his digestive system, nonetheless!

Are you breastfeeding? If so, you can take them and they are passed through the milk.

do you have Biogaia in the States?
Make sure to get a probiotic that needs to be refrigerated - they are much higher quality.

I recommend Klaire Labs Infant Probiotics. They are 10 billion cultures, which is amazing. They are also free of all allergens, and gentle on their bodies. Good luck! I second the idea of ensuring you get some that need to be refrigerated. We got ours from our lactation consultant and from our doctor.

We use culturelle - I just mix the powder with his milk once a day.
