I am getting freaked out! She has projectile vomited 3x now in the past hour and a half. There is nothing left in her system and we've been through 3 changes, our sheets, and our couch. I don't know what to do. Waiting for her doctor to call me back.

Awww. My LO did projectile spit up when she was a baby, turned out to be reflux. Hope she feels better!

Do you have the book Baby 411? There is a good section about vomiting - what to do, when to be concerned, etc.

@mrsjazz: Anytime this happened to us, they told us that we just needed to let it run it's course. If she stopped vomiting for 30 min, then try to give her some pedialyte or Gatorade (sips!). You should only worry if they haven't had a wet diaper in over 8 hours. Sorry - hope she feels better soon

@mrsjazz: Its says what @BabyBoecksMom: said. Its a concern if LO is dehydrated (no wet diaper in 8 hours). Give pedialyte in small amounts until LO can keep that down. Its not fun at all.

It's a bug of some kind. Just texted with our nanny share parents and their baby has been vomiting since last night!

Sometimes I give fluids with a syringe (like the kind you would use for infant tylenol, only we have a slightly larger one) if they won't take fluids regularly. It is miserable. Your poor little girl! Fortunately it usually is over fairly fast. In the meantime, we usually set up camp in the shower/bathroom. I hope you don't get it!

@mrsjazz: I would wait until she's stopped for a while. Sometimes, if you give her something, it might actually make her throw up more.

I hope she feels better soon! My son had a stomach virus a while ago. He was throwing up all through the night and was better the next day.

Thanks to everyone who gave advice, I'm hoping she sleeps through the night. She threw up all day from 12:30 to about 6:30 but managed to still have some wet diapers. @Mrs. Twine: The syringe trick worked! So much so that when I tried to offer her a little cup of Pedialyte she wouldn't take it unless I gave it to her in the syringe.
Hate seeing my baby sick and hoping tomorrow is better!

@Mrs. Jazz; SO glad it worked for you! I figured it out with Ellie when she was smaller because she really resists fluids when she's not feeling well and I was getting frantic because she wouldn't drink ANYTHING and was barely nursing (this was when she was about one or so). When they are vomiting like that you just have to do what you have to do to get liquids into them.

Rehydrate with 5 ml every 5 minutes for 1/2 hour and if they hold that down you can up it to 10 ml (using a syringe). Hopefully you are already passed the bad part!
