Inspired by the old wives tale thread! I'm curious if those who have gotten pregnant have done these things.

I got pregnant the first month of trying 2 times by putting a pillow under my butt an propping my legs up against the wall after sex during my fertile window!
ETA: I am not sure that it was instrumental in me getting pregnant. I also charted religiously and we had excellent timing each of those times. Like I said in the other thread, I watched The Great Sperm Race and it had me absolutely terrified…I was scared that the little swimmers may not make it without my help lol. I also *may* have vocally encouraged them haha.

I propped my legs up and pillow under my hips. We got a BFP but not sure how much it helped, but it definitely didn't hurt our chances either. We figured why not try.

Nope - didn't do anything (probably went to the bathroom right after too) and we got pregnant first time with no protection. I don't know if stuff like that helps or hurts (don't see how it could hurt), but always be wary of correlation and causation.

I tried it for many months before getting pregnant, but the month of the BFP I didn't do anything special- just took a nap after having a little fun.

Thanks for the responses everyone! (Keep them coming) Who knows if it really helps or not, but so far over half of you think it does, so thats good enough for me
@Running Elley - thanks for the details! What I'm looking for is whether or not it could give a boost to those already timing everything right. Looks like maybe!
@mediagirl - hah! Actually, I don't believe in Jesus, but it sounds like raising heels to whatever is up there is a good idea!

I've been more diligent about propping my legs up this month, so I will report back in approximately 2 weeks and let you know if it works!!

Haha got pregnant both times without propping anything up! I even peed a few minutes after!

I tried this and didn't get pregnant those times - when I finally did I did nothing! I didn't even lay down after!

I propped it all up and got pregnant. Dh read about it so I did it... even though I didn't think it was necessary. Figured it couldn't hurt.

I use a pillow called "The Liberator" (look it up, NSFW! Consider yourself warned!). my friends gave it to me at my bridal shower, little did they know I had another purpose for it!!!

Though my cousin had a completely PG version of the pillow for sleeping with digestive issues!

@Mrs.Someone: I know exactly what you mean. I actually had one from my doctor (PG version) to put in my chair at the office so it'll force me to sit up straight. So when I opened the gift from my friends, I exclaimed, "oh a back pillow for me to bring to the office!". They all laughed at my naivety.

For you ladies that propped your butt up, does it not trickle out pretty soon after you "finish"? I started propping my butt up, but not even a minute later, it starts trickling down my butt! TMI - sorry!

I have a tilted uterus so we decided to put a pillow under my hips. We got pregnant the first month so I like to think it worked. : )

@His Barista: I have a tilted uterus too, and I read that we should be lying our on stomachs vs on our backs.. not sure which is better, but whatever works
@Alivoo01: yes, major leakage. DH always asks "did it leak" afterwards. Gosh..the conversations we start having after TTC'ing is NOT sexy at all. "Are you ovulating?" "Are you leaking?" .. lol.
