For the 1st few week or two I mostly just pumped. I didnt pump at the hospital, I nursed her for 15 minutes before feeding her formula, so it was about every 2.5 hours. When I came home I pumped every 2 hours but didnt pump at night, but I wasnt getting enough milk when I pumped and I got fed up of constantly washing the pump so I started breastfeeding her and my supply really went up to the point that I was able to breastfeed exclusively

I was an EP for 13 months. Start at the hospital with their pumps, put yourself on a 2-3 hour schedule and stick to it. I rented a hospital pump for 6 months before downgrading to a regular electric pump. After 2 months I dropped to 7 sessions/day, at 4 months, 6 sessions. By the end, I only pumped twice a day. It's doable, but you have to stick with it, especially during the overnight hours.
