Maybe both breasts was too much for her? Although I have also been told you cant overfeed a breastfed baby and my baby unlatches when she is full

come to think of it, my LO would unlatch, and I'd put my boob back in her mouth because I wanted her to fall asleep. HAHA. my bad.
I overfed my EBF baby. poor thing.

Mine has done the immediate spit-up before I get him vertical to burp a few times. I think it has to do with how relaxed or not he is. When I feed him in the middle of the night, he doesn't spit up at all, and during the day when he is all excited he spits up on the burp. (I've got a major spitter-upper. He will keep spitting-up even an hour or more after a feeding if he does anything like a tummy time or if he gets excited. He's a big baby so we're not concerned, but I sometimes wonder how he gets so big while spitting up so much!)

@mediagirl: E will sometimes be upset and fussy even though he is full after a feeding. I think he really just wants to comfort suck, so sometimes I'll pop in his pacifier right after he unlatches. If I let him keep eating he'll overindulge and end up spitting up. If he won't take the pacifier and is continuing to fuss, then I know he's actually still hungry.

@mediagirl: In regards to the crying when trying to burp between sides... that's totally normal! They like the sucking and don't want to stop I would still try to burp in between sides, even if DD was crying, just so I could help her make more room for more milk.
