I'm especially interested to hear from bees who have some kind of experience with anxiety (either yourself or a family member/friend).

I know that it's usually better not to hide from situations that feed into anxiety, and to work through the feelings to deal with it. However, when a person is going through a particularily anxious time in their life (say they have an anxiety disorder and it's been flaring up lately), should anxiety provoking situations be avoided whenever possible?

I'm not talking about daily life like work, grocery shopping, etc. I'm talking about bigger things like if public speaking creates more anxiety, then if it can be avoided while this "flare up" passes, should it? Or should the person force themselves to do it?
