We dropped the crib to its lowest point today. Uh, now there's nowhere for the crib skirt and you can see the wood under the mattress. Anyone else have this problem on the lowest crib setting? What did you do to remedy the situation?

Do you have a picture of what you mean? I feel like I've seen it around the web with no skirt when it is on the low setting, but I can't see wood peeking out. http://www.housetweaking.com/2013/01/22/a-crib-review-with-special-guests/

No suggestion, but we have a Pali crib and our crib skirt is too long on the lower setting, too. Meh.

We didn't have a crib skirt. Do you mean you can see the wood when you look down at the crib? If so, it possible your mattress is too small for the crib?

@maybebaby: the angle isn't the best but you can see a slight gap. The mattress fits pretty snugly in there, it's just not as square as the crib.

@mediagirl: Ohh I see what you mean. LO is so cute! I am planning to make a DIY crib skirt from Young House Love which is just panels of hemmed fabric that are actually velcroed to the crib--I wonder if you could rig your existing crib skirt to velcro it under the mattress to get the look? http://www.younghouselove.com/2010/03/nursery-progress-skirting-the-issue/

@runnerd: I'm psyched, looks super easy esp. with the iron on hem tape. I just ordered fabric from fabric.com for the skirt and some curtains! They also have a curtain DIY tutorial
