So as i mentioned in my last post, i started my period Friday, should i still take ovulation test on my period or wait to count 10 days after the day it started?

It depends on how long your cycles usually are. Your OPKs should tell you what day to start. My cycles were usually 29-30 days and I believe I started taking it on day 13, with a positive on day 14.
Is this your first month taking them? If you start at day 10 and don't get a positive maybe next month start earlier in case you O early and missed it.

are they cheapie strips or a smiley kit? the smiley kit will tell you when you should start, the cheapies i don't mind wasting a few extra & starting early. how long are your cycles? if they're short, start earlier, longer start later. if you have no idea when you usually O or how long your cycle is going to be (irregular cycles or just off BC), i'd start around CD8-9.

If you have the cheapie tests I would start a week after your period started in case you aren't familiar with your cycles, or if they are shorter.

Hold off until at least day 8-9. Sort of related, it sounds like your cycles have changed recently and you weren't on hormonal birth control. If this continues it might be worth talking to your OB.

Have you considered temping? I read your other thread about your cycle being short this time, and temping might help you figure out when you should start testing with the opks.

@char54: yeah this is my first time taking them, i took them starting at day 10 last time and didn't get positives at all, but then i started my cycle, so i am just waiting until its over to start taking opks again, think i may start sooner next time maybe around day 8, seeing hows i am having trouble finding the days i ovulate.

@mrs. bird: my cycles are usually 28-30 days, this time is was only 17 days apart,they are the answer brand opks, with just the pink lines on them think i will start testing on day 8 the :d thanks

@Shutterbug: no i haven't started temping at all, i heard lots of people say its better that way just need to get one
