We recently told our family that we are pregnant! DH's Paternal Grandmother is a quilter and made us a beautiful king size quilt when we got married. Hand stitched. The colors aren't my favorite, but they aren't offensive and so we keep it out and use it often.

When DH spoke to her on the phone she said she would get right to work on a quilt for the new babe. We are so excited to have another beautiful heirloom from her.

How would you gently tell her colors, or style, that you are going for? I absolutely want to use this quilt, and possibly display it somewhere, so I don't want to just see what she makes and hope for the best.
