It's raining and my head feels like it is going to explode. Anyone else get these headaches? Any creative remedies?
I'm pregnant so no advil, and I'm pretty sure I've reached my caffeine limit so I'm not inclined to have more although that does help sometimes.

I get headaches from pressure changes from the weather ever since I had sinus surgery.
Other than advil (which I'm guessing you don't want to take), the other thing that helps is to lay down with heat on my head. I use a rice pack. Just make sure it doesn't go directly over your eyes. Usually after a nap or sleep with that, it will feel better.

@Baby Boy Mom: every time I recommend this people think I am crazy but a bag of salt and vinegar chips! Plus a couple of tylenol was my go to when I got migraines while pregnant

Pressure changes are a major migraine trigger for me. My midwife okayed me taking Claritin as needed. Otherwise, Tylenol plus a coke helps a lot.

hehe my DH always says his knees hurt when it's about to rain/rainy and I call BS but I guess these weather related body changes/pains are true

Ugh yes! It is terrible today! Also pregnant so can't take anything so just want to put my head on my desk and nap. Unfortunately parent-teacher conference forms won't write themselves so am just trying to push through the pain and hope for an early bedtime tonight.

I've been going through this for a week plus right now. Part of it is related to moving and dust, add weather changes, add stresss, and now I'm full on headache.

@MaryM: That's a great idea…I will try the rice once the kids settle down (or go to bed :/).
@mrswin: eek, I don't know if I can handle salt and vinegar…the thought is not too appealing at the moment. Do you think something else super salty might work? or is it the combo with vinegar?
@mauxie: thank you! I used to live in a place where there would be rain almost daily for about three months, and that's when I realized the connection…
@lovehoneybee: I forgot about coke! That does help sometimes. I might try to ask DH to get one on his way home.

Yup. My biggest migraine trigger prior to pregnancy was barometric pressure changes - I was a better weather predictor than the weather guy! I could tell you a storm was coming 2 days before it rolled into town. I took Exedrin Migraine or Aleve.

@Baby Boy Mom: It seems to be the combo of the salt and vinegar, I actually have no idea why it works! The only other thing that I do, if I am at home, is lay down in a very dark and quiet room with one of those cooling gel eye masks on my forehead, although I know some people prefer warm

I get them, but, oddly enough, I didn't get them when I was pregnant or nursing. Excedrine is my go-to cure for it... or sudafed.

Ugh, me! Not fun. If I wasn't able to take drugs, I'd go with some caffeine, a dark room, cold water, and an ice pack at the base of my skull.

That's crazy, I have had the most insane headache with no explanation since yesterday evening and it's been raining steady the whole time! Maybe that's why. And I also complained to DH this morning about achy knees lol!

Definitely get headaches related to the pressure before it rains. The weather here has my head tense. Sometimes s hot shower helps, otherwise I do a hot pack on my head. Good luck!

Me too. Also pregnant. Warm compresses somewhat help.
