Pedi at 1045 but thought I'd ask if anyone recognizes this rash. He has been super crabby all week but not with a fever (though I kept thinking he had one the therm disagreed). Had a cold last week.

@yin: he had faint pink bumps yesterday night but I thought It was from napping and sweating in the car. This morning it looks awful! I have no clue what he could have a reaction to..

@scg00387: Has it been bothering him? Hope he feels better soon and that the doctors can figure it out.

I would put some lotion on it, make sure his clothes and sheets are clean, and watch it for a bit.
My daughter has sensitive skin and would get stuff like this that would go away pretty quickly without ever really being anything.

@yin: he's been a hot mess this week,but doesn't seem to be itching it.
@T.H.O.U.: I would do that.. if it weren't Friday. We don't have anything open around here on the weekend except emergent care so I don't want it to get worse or him to spike a fever, etc. (my dog also does this, getting sick on Fridays so I feel like I have to take him to the vet!)

I would guess its viral and will go away on its own - both my kids had them (they didn't seem to bother my kids, just bothered me!)

Honestly that looks like the rash we had after roseola...but we had a fever with that.

What'd the doc say?
It doesn't look like an allergic reaction to me. Maybe a bout of eczema since he was sweaty?

@hilsy85: Same...
I think it looks exactly like the rash LO got after he had roseola as well. LO definitely had a fever with it beforehand though and then got the rash once the fever broke.

@hilsy85: @Ash: @2PeasinaPod: ding ding ding! roseola. I knew he had a virus last week/the beginning of this week, and felt feverish once or twice (and I gave him advil) even though our rectal thermometer said he didn't have a fever?? So I'm a little confused there. But mostly thankful it isn't something awful.
Oh, and yes we wear Halloween jammies in March because they were 80% off at the consignment shop ha!
