Do you re-use unfinished bottles of breastmilk? Let's say I put 4 oz in a bottle and she only takes 2 oz. Do you refrigerate the rest and re-use it, or do you throw it away? How soon do I have to feed her the rest before it starts to go bad? I feel terrible about throwing it away, but LO hates the bottle and it is a fight to get her to drink it. I should probably just do 2 oz at a time going forward so I don't waste any, but I am always optimistic that she will drink 4 oz in one feeding (which she has done only once before).

I always saved for the next feeding..sometimes 2 feedings!

I would save it for the next feeding. I was always hesitant to re-heat it more than 2x.

We save it for the next feeding. We only toss it if I get home and she'll be BF from the source for the rest of the evening.

I've heard that you have to use it within an hour, due to bacteria that gets introduced through your LO's saliva. So that's what we do, I know, it sucks to throw it out!

I re-refrigerate and save for the next feeding. I don't heat it more than once usually. But sometimes I'll wait up to 5 hours until the next feeding if it's refrigerated. I do the sniff test.

For a long time I'd throw it out but then I decided to try reusing for the next feeding and it was fine. Once defrosted, I'd always use it in 24 hours though.

I didn't heat bottles for DS, so we would save the rest of a bottle and use it for the next feeding. I don't think I would heat it more than once.
I would follow the recommendations on kellymom though, since that was my reference for most things breastfeeding/breastmilk related when DS was younger.

I would put it back in the fridge and use it for the next feeding. I never heated the breast milk and fed it to my LO straight from the fridge.
