Can anybody recommend a good battery charger and rechargeable battery brand? Or are all brands about the same?

I had one that was just one I picked up at WalMart. I never really looked at the difference. One feature mine had was that it kinda could expand to accommodate different size batteries (AAA,AA,C,D, etc but maybe not quite all those). Some of them are just a standard size and will only charge that size.

Eneloop have worked well for us for a few years now. They seem to stay charged longer than the others we've used.
My husband picked the charger we have & really likes it.

I like Amazon's "store-brand" pre-charged reusable batteries (similar to the ones above but cheaper). I've been using them in my pump's battery pack and they work well. I just charge them in an old charger I already had, though, so no recommendations on that.

The charger is great - it charges multiple battery sizes so we use it for everything. The batteries have been doing pretty well (we use them in a soother/nightlight in the girls' cribs) except for one set that seems to run down very quickly. They are the oldest though, so maybe that's why - the other sets have been working great.
