I love gel eyeliner, but it takes a while to apply and I have to wash my brush every time.
All the pencil/liquid liners I've tried tend to smudge, like MAC or Urban Decay. I also often forget I'm wearing makeup and rub my eyes!
Recommend a smudge-proof/waterproof eyeliner?

I think it is called aqua eyes by Make Up Forever. Goes on so well and doesn't smudge. Yeah, washing the brush is a pain. Pencil is quicker to apply than gel!

Bleh I was going to say gel... I have mono lids and while it does take a little extra time I just love that they don't smudge!

Following! I end up looking like a raccoon a couple of hours after wearing an eyeliner. I have used urban decay 24/7 and it smudges. I'm currently using revlon colorstay creme gel liner and it doesn't smudge, but don't love it. Jen from head to toe says to use eyeliner primer for monolid so I'm going to try that.

What about MAC's liquid liner instead of the gel? I used it for a long time and it stayed put all day. I use E.L.F. liquid liner right now just because it works nicely and it's only $1 but if I rub my eyes more than 2-3 times, it definitely starts to come off. It doesn't look smudged, just flakes off. Better than most drug store liners though.
I've tried a lot of brands (MUFE, Nars, YSL, Stila) and there isn't one that I really, really love other than MAC.

Hmm. I've used UD 24/7 liquid liner in Perversion and that crap stays on through a shower for me. I have to use eye makeup remover to get it off.
