We didn't get a single stuffed animal at any of our showers. We'd like go buy the baby a really nice teddy bear for Christmas (what else do you get a 1 month old)- something that is well made, adorable, and will stand up to lots and lots of loving. Any recommendations?

I would check out fao. My Lo didn't show interest in stuffed animals until she turned 1.. But she looooooves her Patrick the pup. She loves all her bears too..

LO's favorite is made by Jellycat- super soft and seems pretty good quality.

Do you have a build a bear near you? I've made several and they've all held up well over the years. DH and I made one together for DS. It was fun and its a great keepsake.

I think the build a bear idea is cute! I don't have a suggestion, the only teddy bear we have for J was mine and my grandma made it for me before I was born. It's made it through a LOT!

I have a Steiff bear from when I was little. He's made of mohair and so soft. They're spendy, but last forever.

My sister has a Gund bear that she has literally slept with every night since she was about 8. She's 22 now. The fur is matted and the plastic eyes are scratched but there are no holes or seams coming apart. He is very well loved:) When he was new he was sooo soft!

Jellycat or Patrick/Patricia the Pup from FAO. Also, Blabla dolls are nice too but not as...cuddly?

DH's cousin from Germany sent us a Steiff bear. It's really super soft and cute but LO isn't into stuffed animals yet.

I've always secretly wanted to go to Build a Bear - maybe this is the perfect excuse! I know LO won't give two hoots about a stuffed animal, but it will look cute in the nursery for now? I can't think of anything a 1 month old would care about!

Gund. Softest bear you'll ever feel. My Dad used to get me a Gund when he came home from a long trip so maybe I'm biased. They are wonderful, though.

I bought a jellycat bunny when my hubs and I decided to start ttc. They are just so beautiful and soft.
I had a lot of Gund bears growing up. I'm not sure what brand my favorite teddy is though, he doesn't have a tag anymore.

Gund!! My Teddy bear is 27 yrs old and is still in decent shape.
