I just read Emery Lord's books and now I think I'm stuck in a YA rut. And I'm okay with that. 
Anyone care to recommend some YA books to me? I'd prefer something that will probably be available at the library or something free from Amazon but I'll take any suggestions. I LOVE series so if you want to toss those out at me, go for it.

I loooove reading YA because I can finish faster and it makes me feel like I read more. I'm also a high school English teacher, so I tell myself it's my job.
I recently read and loved Mosquitoland by David Arnold. A little John Green-esque.
Most of Rainbow Rowell's books are great.
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson.
Sarah Dessen is pretty good (Saint Anything, Along for the Ride, Keeping the Moon)
Jenny Han is also reliable. (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, PS I Still Love You)I also blew through the whole Percy Jackson series (well, two series) last spring. Those are a little more middle grades than YA, though. Also, I am a nerd for mythology so it was right up my alley.

The Selection Series by Kiera Cass is good. Otherwise, most of my favorites have been mentioned - Rainbow Rowell, Sarah Dessenx10000.
Maureen Johnson is good, I loved the Suite Scarlett books and the 13 Little Blue Envelopes. Oh, and the Uglies trilogy is good.

Me too, though throw in special ed for me. And third, I LOVE YA books and agree that reading it is part of my job!

@sera_87: Yeah! She's built on both universes. After the Alana quartet there's three more quartets (Daine, Keladry, Bekah) and the Trickster Series. And the Circle quartet has a sequel quartet and then a follow up series after that. I think that's it. Now I'm off to explore your Goodreads.

Have you read the language of flowers yet? omg it's sooo good.
Also: If I stay was super interesting, then I watched the movie. Book was definitely better. It was a really quick, easy read - albeit sad.
It might not be classified YA, but Crazy Rich Asians was funny.
Did you ever read the sisterhood of the traveling pants? I read them as a teen and liked them
Oh! and Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children - it was sooo interesting!

The Legend Trilogy is similar to The Hunger Games/Divergent
Bright Side, Archer's Voice, and Confess are awesome!
The Bridgerton's a saga following 8 kids in London. Each kid gets their own book.
I just finished the Law of Moses which was good. Going to start the 5th Wave soon since that's coming out in theaters.
Cinder & Ella is a super easy and quick read that I enjoyed.
Collide and Pulse are two books which is good.
