I have an upgrade and want to make sure I love my new phone!
I made an uninformed decision last time and have spent the last two years with a phone I hate.
What phone do you have? Do you love it?

We are normally an apple family, but my husband has been trying out the Galaxy Nexus for a few months now, and really likes it.

I have an HTC Rezound that I love. Big ole' screen, lightning fast, great camera. (Might be a better version than this one out by this point since I got this one 6 months ago. But whatever the new version of this phone is, I'd recommend it)

I don't use my phone for apps or anything any of the "good" smartphones are good for, but I text, web browse (facebook and hello bee, the odd google search!) and email and phone calls. I have the Blackberry Bold. L-O-V-E it! Touch screen, and keyboard, good size, I am lucky to not have to pay for it, but would if I had to! It has a good camera, take good video, and totally works for me!

I have an older samsung galaxy S and I love it!

A few of my friends have gotten the Samsung Galaxy recently and it looks pretty sweet! I have an older Droid 2 and the thing I like about it is the slide out keyboard and that it's a lot more durable than some of the other smart phones. I drop it all the time and no problem.

@shopaholic: They pretty much dont even make phones with real keyboards these days. I wish they did.....i am afraid i will be a terrible touch screen texter.

I loved my Blackberry! Switched to an iphone this week for the better camera since baby is on the way, but nothing but good things to say about Blackberry - the only downer I think is if you're used to apps and gadgets which it doesn't seem to have.

I have the Samsung Nexus (switched from iPhone) and I LOVE IT! DH liked my phone enough to give up his iPhone too, and we're usually a diehard Apple family.
In a few months when I'm due for an upgrade I'm going to check out the Galaxy S3 -
Another Blackberry (Curve) here! Hardly anyone has BBs these days, so it's harder to find very specific apps if that's important to you. But I love the keyboard, love the red light that blinks if I have a message, and it's great for email, light web browsing and social media. I have used a BB for the last 3 years and they're great! The Curve works great for me, but the Bold is even cooler (has a touch screen + keyboard).

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 but all of my friends have the 3 and they looooove it. Go Samsung!

@mediagirl: That phone would be my first choice but it is two hundred dollars with an upgrade right now. More than I want to spend....maybe if I wait a bit the price will go down.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Samsung does make a smartphone with a real keyboard. My husband just got it a couple of months ago. The Stratosphere, I think. It's not as fancy as the iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy, but it's got a good camera, 4G LTE, good screen size, and runs on an Android platform. He loves it.
I will be in the market for a new phone in December, and keep going back and forth between the Samsung Galaxy and the iPhone. I am so used to the Android platform, and do everything in Google, so that has me leaning towards the Samsung. But I can't access/use my iTunes on the Samsung, so that has me leaning towards the iPhone.
