My 2 year old seems to be getting tired of his board books and is really enjoying reading longer hardcover "big boy" books, so I'd like to get some more for Christmas. Right now, he loves ones like:

Right now D also loves Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site ("doomp truck!"). His other frequently requested book is Creepy Carrots. And my Dad got him Nightsong, which I really like, but he's not into it as much as the other 2 yet. Anxious to read others' suggestions, though!

@SeptMomma12: We got a bunch of second hand books from Better World Books in great condition. I also scoured the clearance table at B&N and got great hardcover kids' books for great deals ($1.50-$3).

How about classic Golden Books?
My sister and I got a ton (that hardly looked like they'd been read. The bindings weren't even creased) at Goodwill last weekend for 50 cents each
