@Jellyfish: I was gifted the Itsy Ritzy backpack - super stylish I think and very functional but over your price limit. I think backpacks are the way to go!

@Jellyfish: I don't but it is heavy fully loaded. We have to be conscious of what we pack. But my DH is willing to wear it and I love the insulated pockets for drinks or snacks. I also like the plastic/rubber base that stays stable and clean when set on the ground.

@wrkbrk: I have this one too in black and love it. I’ve had it through two kids (oldest is almost 5) and it’s still absolutely perfect. Like new.

I also have a freshly picked diaper backpack for myself but it is pretty pricey.

All the buttons and zippers have held up great, but the fake leather is wearing in some places. Specifically on one of the bottom corners the "leather" is starting to peel a little bit. I'm not sure if that is typical of fake leather or if it's a problem with their bag design. I like the bag though, it's functional and holds a good amount of stuff.

I had a diaper bag from this line. I don't hear much about this brand; I just stumbled across it in a small local store. I don't see the exact style I had, but it has held up very well, and is super lightweight. (ETA: it was from their Green Label collection. I think that particular fabric helped with the weight.)

I saw all the recommendations for backpack-style bags when I was pregnant, but I had to remember that I am just not a backpack person. I never use backpack-style purses, and just find them inconvenient and frustrating. So think about what kid of bags work for you already in your everyday life, and look for those qualities in a diaper bag.
