I was just wondering if anyone has taken their LO to see a chiropractor to help with reflux. Did you see any improvement?
My DD is 12 weeks old and her reflux is no longer responding to the Zantac, even with an increased dosage.

My friends saw results for both their kids. We didn't get to that point - Zantac stopped working and I pressed for Prevacid (on the advice of some other reflux moms) and that did the trick. (If you go for Prevacid, find a compounding pharmacy that will grind up the pills and suspend it in a sweet syrup as opposed to grinding it up your self with water and sucking it up in a syringe).

We didn't try a chiropractor but I've also heard it can be effective. When Zantac stopped working for LO, we switched to Prilosec (omeprazole) and it was life-changing! We were able to wean him off it around 7.5 months.

@ladybee: I have read that it can be helpful, we have an appointment tomorrow so we will see how that goes. I am also going to try probiotics at the LC's recommendation.
@Ash: Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry it didn't help your LO. Was there anything you found that ended up helping?

@gingerbebe: I'm glad it worked for your friend. My DD is in so much pain during the day, both sleeping and awake and it breaks my heart Thanks for the tip about the Prevacid
@jape14: Glad to hear your were able to find something that helped!

@mrswin: I hear you mama, its the worst. My son had colic and reflux and he basically broke me. He never wanted to eat, threw up, slept on an inclined crib mattress, screamed constant.ly. and didn't sleep very well until the Prevacid switch around 3 months. Plus I was on a total elimination diet for his milk. But I started adding back foods when he was 5 months old and by 6 months he was off meds and he's been doing great!

I hear so many people where Zantac doesn't wrk. Prevacid was amazing for us.

@gingerbebe: As much as I love my DD, I have had a hard time because she is always so miserable and it makes me feel like I am not doing a good job I just want her to be happy and feel good
@Mrs Green Grass: It seems to be pretty common for the Zantac not to work. If we continue with meds I am going to ask the doctor about Prevacid or Prilosec

@mrswin: You'll get through it. My son is such a happy 10 month old it makes me sad in retrospect - he must have been in so much pain. But he was so bad I questioned whether I should have another because I was such a complete wreck. So I understand. You do whatever works for your family and get through. Hugs!
