Did anyone make any snarky comments to you about an item being too expensive or too cheap? Just curious as my feelings have been hurt/im irritated over a comment made about mine. I know im probably hormonal and over-reacting but just curious other peoples experiences to feel better!

No. I'm guilty of judging registries behind peoples back but would never say it to their face. I just don't buy the things that I think are silly.
And really I know its not my business what people register for and why.

I have a friend that registered for all toys, nothing practical. Then she complained that she had to go buy things like a changing pad ... well maybe she should have registered for it.
I think I judged expensive things more before I had a baby. Before I thought it was silly to spend hundreds of dollars on something like a baby carrier, and I still wouldn't do that but I understand why someone would.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I'll be honest, I worry about it happening to me but I think our friends would just keep their thoughts to themselves and if my family has anything to say? They'll talk amongst themselves. It's hard with the baby registry because there are a LOT of high price items!

That sucks! Never received any comments. Someone actually told me to put more stuff on mine though since I didn't have a huge selection. My items ranged from $3-$500.

No one said anything to my face. I did try to make sure that I had a good number of items in all price ranges, and also made sure that everything on my registry would be things I would be comfortable buying for myself/for others. It's too bad that people are so mean, I'm sorry to hear they are making snarky comments even before baby is here!

I think a couple people commented on the price of some things - like the car seat adapter for the stroller. I agree it seemed pretty expensive for a bar so I just agreed with them but also explained why it would be really useful for us.
For other stuff I just would say it had really good reviews so I thought we'd use it a lot.
I don't think people judge first time parents that much, there's always useful stuff they can get. Not many hot dog toasters on a baby registry.
