I just finally decided, in an effort to save money (and the environment), to get a reusable k-cup filter and start using coffee grounds rather than buying and tossing the plastic k-cups a hundred million times a month. Does anyone else use one? Do you like it? Has it saved you money?

So I'll be honest - I didn't love ours
But I only tried one and didn't try it more than a couple of times. It just didn't brew a great cup and I got grounds in my coffee. But again I didn't experiment with different grounds or anything. Maybe I should revisit it...I still have it.
Actually I will. I'll try a stronger brew and see what happens. -
DH didn't like it and never uses it.

@SweetiePie: I got one that is a very fine mesh and none of the reviews mentioned grounds, unless you overfill the cup. Some of the ones I looked at seemed like they had a larger mesh, so it was recommended you get little paper filters to go in the cup, which seems to kind of defeat the environmental purpose of it (though I imagine they're at least recyclable/biodegradable).

I love mine but I don't think they make it anymore - I use it all the time - no grounds in the cup!

@littlebug: Yes I may have been overfilling! I was trying to make it stronger by adding more but I should just go with a darker roast.

@littlebug: I like ours! It occasionally will leave a few grounds, but nothing noticeable really. It definitely saves a ton of money. Plus, you can make your own blends. It's of course a tiny bit less convenient than the Kcups, but not enough that it's not worth it.

I have one, and never had any issues with it!! I don't use it anymore, because I found it easier to just brew some coffee with my regular drip coffee pot.

It's all I use at home with my keurig. I really like it. I think you have to play around a bit with how much you fill it and what setting/size you brew. It has a bit of fine sediment at the bottom of the cup but it doesn't bother me.
