My office switched to using K cups but I'd like to not generate that kind of waste daily (I'm working on the office as a whole). I'm thinking about asking for a reusable k cup for Christmas. Any recommendations? Would they be easy enough to use in an office kitchen?

We use them. We've had a few different kinds. They all work fine. They don't improve on the coffee that Keurig coffee makers make in general unfortunately.
I just knock the grounds into the trash and rinse them out. They go through a more thorough wash on occasion -
I use a reusable k cup and it was a cheap brand. I've had the same one for at least 5 years. It holds up well!

I have one that I just bought in the coffee aisle at the grocery store for a few bucks. It works just fine and is easy to use.
I think you could get away with using just about any brand since they're a pretty simple concept (just my .02)

We use a reusable k cup and fill with grounds. Simple, easy to use, great....if you only use the keurig for coffee. Because the sides are mesh, not solid like a typical cup, I find it leaves behind a coffee taste in the dispenser that is noticeable if the person behind you makes tea.

Well so much for that idea. They don't make resuable cups for commercial machines. Which now that I think about it makes sense. The machine kicks the kcups into a little rubbish bin and it would be kinda gross to retrieve it from there. At least I figured that out before ordering.

@Corduroy: interesting. I know there are coffee companies that make Earth friendly K Cups too (biodegradable, compostable) so maybe you can look into those?
