I think I would need to see to be able to be the biggest help. If I am having trouble adjusting I try to start with one edge of the fabric, tighten that to where I want, find the other edge, tighten that, and then snug up the middle fabric and repeat as necessary. I also usually try to support the carry with one hand while I'm getting everything snug. Does this help or make sense?

I also do what@Mrs. Twine: does... tighten top rail, tighten bottom rail, adjust the middle.

Also, you want to have the sling pretty snug before you even poor put it on. The less you have to tighten it once it's on with a baby init, the less likely it is to bunch up.

And when tightening the top rail pull the top rail of the tail straight across your body (like the top rail is across your baby) and when you're tightening the bottom rail pull it diagonally downward across your body (again, in the direction it is going under your baby). I hope that makes sense, it's hard to explain without showing you.

@Navy_Mommy: @Revel: I'm envisioning a three-way Skype I think maybe @Navy_Mommy is better at helping sight unseen. I just have a really hard time visualizing to give you the best answer. It sounds like the level of breaking in may be playing a role, but I think there should be a way to get this to work for you in the meantime as well. Obviously washing, line/air drying, and ironing will help soften the fabric.

@Revel: I have a sakura sling as well and have the same issue...I try to make sure the linen is as smooth as possible between the rings before putting LO in and adjusting it.
