I have heard from a lot of people that some babies have a runny nose while teething. LO is getting a top tooth right now (maybe both?) and yesterday it's like her nose sprung a leak!
She isn't feverish, and her snot is clear so I am curious if this is her first time getting sick or if it might be teething related. This didn't happen when the bottom two came in and it seems like so much snot for a couple little teeth!
Did any of your LO's have runny noses while teething? How long did it last?

a few weeks ago LO had a runny nose but no temp and i was convinced we would see some teeth soon. nope, still no teeth! so i am guessing it was either just a mild cold or some allergies?

LO always gets a runny nose when she is teething and sometimes it would last a couple weeks.

Took H to ped to determine if she had an ear infection or just teething, and ped said if it's a cold/sickness, the snot will be green or yellow or have color. If it's clear, it's usually just teething shenanigans.

i think we're in the throws of this right now. runny nose, screaming for no reason, really cranky. we've had false alarms with the drooling, ear grabbing, etc. so i'm wondering if this is really it. poor girl is just screaming and screaming.

@birdofafeather: Aw sorry that your girl is going through the rough stuff. Hope those teeth pop through soon, as it always gets better after they can come out some.
The runny nose lasted a bit over a week and now she's back to normal. Definitely was teething related as both of her top teeth have finally come in. Thanks for the replies ladies!

@lindseykaye: ok, we're on the 3rd day of runny nose and she's in the middle of a long nap after crying herself to sleep for 15 minutes. poor girl didn't even want me to hold her. tried rocking, nursing, just carrying her around, but still screamed. i finally gave up and put her in her crib, hoping she would get rest.

This is one of LO's signs of teething, she has a runny nose right now and I looked this morning and her other top tooth is starting to poke through. It's clear so I sent her to daycare and just told them to call me if she started to show signs of a cold.
