DD and I had our six week follow up with our midwife yesterday. It was also our discharge appointment...no more midwife I feel like I'm kind of mourning the loss of her in our lives! She was so, so awesome. I quite like our family doctor, so it's not like we have to move to a care provider I dislike but, for me, nothing is as awesome or empowering as the midwifery model of care. I'll miss the hour-long appointments, the chats, the home visits, being able to call anytime to ask questions and just having a care provider with whom I have a personal relationship.

We may need to have another baby just so I can hang out with my midwife again...hahaha!
