I've decided I hate all my clothes and need a style makeover. What are you lusting over for summer? What's your normal mommy wardrobe?

I'm pregnant this season, but my normal work wear while at home are leggings and/or skinny jeans, tunic top or a tank with button down shirt!

I'm in FL so it has to be light and easy! My go to outfits are loose fitting casual dresses (no maxis, they are pain when chasing a toddler!) or comfy linen/chino shorts with a cute tank that has a light fabric.

Neutral basics like leggings, drapey tees, graphic tees, jeans. Then some pops of colors with cardigans, scarves, shoes.

I work, but when I am with my son, I've come to realize that what I wear needs to be really easy and machine washable.
When we go to a playground, I am right up there with him climbing, going down the slide, digging in the sandbox, so I like to do a stepped up work out look, with yoga capris, a tee made out of stretchy material, bright sneakers and a ball cap.
If we're going somewhere like a museum, I like to do a tunic with skinny white jeans. I have tunics in all colors of the rainbow and I pair them with pretty flat sandals.
I also love Athleta's skorts (skirts with bike shorts integrated) because they're dressier than shorts, but I can still sit on the floor and do whatever without flashing anyone my undies!

ITs a good day if I change out of my pajamas for the day or brush my teeth before noon. Meh.

As much shopping as you do, I'd think you could totally revamp and restyle everything in your wardrobe with new accessories.

I've been really pining over this tanktop for a while now. Just show off a bit of my geek. I've been looking for a great star wars t-shirt/tank for a while now and this one really speaks to me! Totally easy to dress up or down and still be geeky.

My normal mommy wardrobe right now on days I'm home is skinny jeans, a v-neck or scoop neck tee from Gap, and my Sperry's or crochet Tom's. If I'm going out I usually put on a cuter top and stick with my skinny jeans and maybe a cuter pair of shoes or boots depending on weather. Fairly simple.
I just went last weekend and splurged on 2 pairs of shorts, 2 dresses, a cute hoodie, and 8 or 9 tops. It felt good to refresh my wardrobe for spring.

Summers can be hot and humid so lots of dresses, and a few pairs of shorts with flowy tops.

I work FT but I'll be home for the summer on 12 weeks of maternity leave...I have a lot of stuff pinned for my post-baby shopping trip (when I hit my goal weight)...I love the Carrie cami from jcrew, have a few colors from last year...And I love these destroyed jbrand denim capris...Also love pretty silk tanks and flowy camisoles with my jbrand denim cutoffs. We live at the beach but it's still pretty preppy and this is kind of how I envision putzing around this summer...Can't wait to be summer ready! Which I say at a huge 37 weeks pregnant

@.twist.: Awwwww yeah, summer wardrobes should be two things in my opinion: 1) not pretentious and 2) comfy as hell. Because it gets freaking nasty gross in the midwest! I got one of these tanks that I plan on living in this summer . Plus, "It's summertime and the living is easy"

Linen tunics and crops for nicer outings.
Yoga crops and tanks/chambray button downs for around the house.
A few maxis.
Toms and Gizehs.
All nursing friendly which is a pain.
I'm all about quality basics that wash well being home with two.
As long as I have hair and makeup done I don't feel like too big a bum at the playground.

@blackbird: Is it really bad that I hope our summer is a freaky nasty gross kind of hot? Because that NEVER happens here and I am like a lizard. Where's my heat lamp. Also, love the tank, it is ALSO on my to-buy list.
@Mrs. Pickle: NO. But I'm on my way...

@looch: where do you get all of your tunics?
In the summer I mainly wear jersey dresses and a nice pair of shorts/top combo. Comfy and easy!

I am a WAHM and I pretty much live in denim cutoffs and looser, flowy tanks in the summer. Either that, or sundresses or maxi dresses. With cute sandals. I'm a big fan of boho style and I wear a lot of Free People! Free People is a fave of mine because it is so great for before, during, an after pregnancy. Most of my FP tops are so roomy that they fit even when I'm 9 months pregnant! I don't really like tight clothes in the summer. If I'm wearing pants, they're probably holey boyfriend jeans. Current/Elliot is my favorite denim brand....for jeans and shorts!

@Andrea: Boden, Roberta Freyman, Talbots for the more recent ones.
I also like the "popover" style tops from Lands End.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I your style! Where do you find cute cutoff shorts?
eggplant / 11287 posts
@BandDmommy: Current/Elliot! They are the softest, comfiest denim ever! I have found them at Nordstrom, The Rack, and some online retailers. I have had some good luck with boyfriend shorts from H&M, too.
