I'm thinking I should build up a small freezer stash just in case. I'm not sure how much to aim for, maybe a days worth? If you stay home did you pump to have milk on hand just in case? How much?

I thought I was going back to work so I started pumping at six weeks. I ended up SAH for 9 mos but I continued to pump when I felt engorged (I had an oversupply) and we used it when we went out for date nights and for DH to give LO the occasional nighttime bottle.

DD is almost 11 months old and I have 240 oz in the freezer. Never ended up using any of it, but am using it now as we start the weaning process.

I did. DH gave LO a bottle every day, so I definitely had enough for that. I tried to keep enough for at least 1-2 days. For some reason I had this fear that I was going to get extremely sick and wouldn't be able to nurse.

I have a stash, but that was mostly to make sure that my supply was established (I had major supply issues with DS#1). I currently have way too much milk and I'm donating it today. I think I'll keep about 15 ounces for us, enough for a bottle or two, but I don't see myself leaving the baby longer than one feed at this point.

I have LITERALLY 12 oz in my freezer because I just nurse her when she's hungry and I really regret that. It makes it so much more of a hassle to take her places because i have to pump ahead of time instead of just scooping a bag or two from my stash. I've just started trying to get myself on a schedule (dd is almsot 9 months) of pumping so i can have a stash. I would really like to keep giving her bm even if she decides to stop nursing before 2 yo.
