Does anyone have this phone? Do you like it? Pros/cons?
I used I have the S3--switched to the iPhone, hated it--now I want to go back to the Galaxy.

DH has this phone and he LOVES it!! The fact it's waterproof is a big plus for him!

It's an awesome phone! I just saw something about a new Galaxy phone... Alpha, or something like that? I don't know any of the details, though.

@Alivoo01: okay I was just reading a review that said it's only "mildly water resistant" which was so disappointing to me because I thought it was waterproof. Is it truly waterproof, as far as you know?

I have the S3 and can't wait to switch to the S5 when I'm up for a refresh. I think all the S's are pretty much the same function wise, but larger better screen and faster processor and more memory.

It is truly water resistant. Meaning, if you drop it in the toilet or the bath and you scoop it right out, you're fine. If you drop it in a lake? Nope. But it's good down to the depth of a bathtub. Or getting water splashed on it from a pool.
I have it and I could not love it more. I especially love all the health stuff - I use it to track my exercise, walking, my food. It's a great size for me, even with my teensy tiny hands. It feels solid. The camera is pretty good. I just love it, I could go on.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I love mine, I upgraded from the s4. Not much changed function but the camera is way better. Technically the phone is water resistant, rather than water proof. It's still submergeable for a certain amount of time though, so that's enough for me. I'm was paranoid about my LO chewing on it or tossing in a cup or the toilet. And this one has an awesome kids function that you can allow access to certain apps and your kid can't get out of the program and delete all your contacts or buy a bunch of random stuff which is pretty awesome. It's now safe to let the kid play with the phone!!

@cheesehead: that's great! Do you (or does anyone) have a recommendation for a good kid-proof case?

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I just have one of the hard plastic thin ones from the phone store that I love but it's not super duper durable. My hubby has one of those otterbox ones that is much more durable but also really bulky in my opinion. I'm not super careful with the phone and the plastic case suits my use (and lo's occasional 'tantrums') perfectly.

I loooooove mine! (Not an apple person, upgraded from a Droid Razr) It's super fast and has a great fitness program installed that I use a lot.
The camera is good, not fantastic, but it does what I need. The macro takes a lot of extra work. I love Google+ photo software included, it makes very cute animated photos when I shoot a burst of activity.
I don't intend to test just how waterproof it is, but I feel very confident carrying it in the rain or around wet kids at the splash pads. The charger cover is delicate (a major waterproof feature), so I'm careful plugging and unplugging and always replace it.

@lemondrop: I'm not an apple person either! I want to be, because I was given an iPhone for free, but now that my upgrade is here I can't wait to switch back! I had an S3 that was stolen.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I just got my S5 on Sunday upgraded from a S4 and I like it. My husband bought me the life proof though which works for me because we are always at the beach and I accidentally dropped it in the ocean yesterday. Camera is WAY better
