I never really thought of it as degrading towards dads. I just thought it was kind of funny. And even if dads are doing these things, I find them kind of hilarious and can see moms doing the same thing? Lol

Especially that swaddle pants thing. LOL

Dads make mistakes, get tired and are super out of the box resourceful so I'm ok with it and most Dads can laugh at it. If it was about moms, wrath be unleashed.
Other stuff that are directly anti- Dad would not be appreciated.

I think even if it is satire, it's still adding to the "dads are idiots" culture and I can't stand it. But I also hate "reasons my kid is crying" because I think it's inappropriate to make fun of your kid for having emotions, so maybe I just don't have a sense of humor.

Some of the pictures did make me laugh, while others were kind of upsetting. But I know what you're talking about, and I was thinking about it earlier today. My friend shared a post by Dr. Bob Sears on FB, and I hated it! Here's a snippet:

Say what?!?!

Most of the photos just made me laugh. And I think it has more to do with in general moms look after babies more so when dads do they try to find some creative way to continue what they'd like to do. Obviously won't match up to every household but I think some would find it funny on a satirical level. My husband is amazing with my daughter but he definitely thinks outside of the box more with childcare then I do so on some level I could see him trying something weird with her!

@Corduroy: @SugarplumsMom: that's what I thought too. I think society has too low expectations of dads generally but I didn't think this was all that big a deal.

@catomd00: I was truly impressed with swaddle pants, too!
