Help! I accidentally left a pan of rice on the burner (on high) for 15 minutes, and did this to my enameled cast iron pan. My mom told me to boil water in it, which didn't work. Anything else I should try??

I've done this to mine numerous times. I use those stainless steel scratchies. Those balls. I soak in hot water first. It's enamel (ceramic) so you won't hurt it or cause metal on metal galvanic corrosion (don't use them on non enameled cast iron, for example.....the steel bits will get into the iron and cause problems)

I cooked pears into a blank crust I thought would never go away. I my mom boiled backing soda in it and it's good as new! So easy.
I try not to scrub with anything that might scratch it...

I can bring over my Le Cruset enamel cleaner if you don't get it figured out.
