Any one have a scooter that they love and want to recommend? I have a two year old and a four year old and think it would be a really great outside activity but there are so many to choose from, I am overwhelmed! Thanks!

@Miss Flamingo: https://www.microkickboard.com/ - we have 2 - the Micro Maxi for our 5 year old and a the Flex for us. I love both. I want another Flex or one like it so we can all have one and my husband and I don't have to share.
Helmets? Target, Walmart, etc. They're all the same.

Yes to micro! We got the maxi for my then 5yo’s bday and It should last a long time. We got the micro mini for my 2yo’s bday and he caught on right away. I wanted to save $ but maybe should have just gotten him the maxi too as it adjusts as they grow and might last longer before it gets small. But they are great quality and easy for kids to learn.

Micro scooters are the way to go. My son uses his every day to get around the neighborhood. They are the standard in kids scooters in NYC.
Because we use it all the time I got a nutcase helmet and love it! It's still looking great with almost two years of constant use.
But if it wasn't for everyday if get whatever...

We have a Little Tykes 3 wheeled scooter that's perfectly fine - nice and durable, we've had it for three years and it's in good shape. It's sturdy and has a wide footboard so our two year old can stand with both feet on it and get pushed around. We have a Lil Nutcase helmet for the 4 year old, and I can't remember what the 2 year old has.

Micro scooter for sure. We got a cheap radio flyer one first and it was awful. DD1 couldn’t use it. The. I returned it and found a used micro mini for her and she was shredding.

We bought this one for DS1. He's now 5 and is still running strong. I know that everyone recommends the micro or micro mini but I couldn't justify the cost. I might have paid a little more to get an adjustable height one. But I anticipate that we'll get a similar one for DS2 for his upcoming birthday.

We got a globber scooter with adjustable handlebar. DD is tall so we wanted something that would grow with her. She has only used it a bit but so far we love it.

We have a Globber and it’s been great. After reading lots of reviews it was clear that scooters fall into the “buy cheap, buy twice category.” I wasn’t comfortable shelling out for a micro, and the Globber seemed like the next best thing per reviews. I also like how easy it is to take apart and stick under the stroller if needed.

We bought the micro mini in 2012 for DS and now DD uses it regularly, so they hold up extremely well. We bought DS a micro maxi (with adjustable handle height) about 3 years ago (he’s 7 now) and it’s still in great condition with regular use. I would look into adjustable height handlebar scooters since you will get so much more use out of them.
