I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but my husband and mom both have iPhones so I'm kind of thinking of getting one. I LOVE having an android and I feel like I'll miss some of the features (widgets, calender on my main screen etc...). So sell me on your iPhone!

DH went from iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy 5 (or something 5) back to an iPhone recently. He loves, loves, loves his Samsung phone, but he liked the simplicity of the iPhone and that's why he switched back.
For instance, when I send DH a picture of DS, Samsung gives him like 5 options of apps to open the picture with (this happens when I send him a FB link also). And he couldn't select a default app to open ALL pictures so he was annoyed with that since he had to make a selection every. single. time. Same with saving down pictures, he had pictures in all sorts of places and wasn't sure how or why that was.
He also liked FaceTime. There's Skype and other video conference apps, but he liked the simplicity of not having to download another app and signing up, etc. He just had to click on the FaceTime app and bam! Hi DS!!

What do you mean widgets or calendar on the main screen? If you explain I can try to translate to iPhone features

@T.H.O.U.: I have a monthly view of my calender on one of my pages (without having to click an icon to get to it) and a widget example is... I have icons that both tell me how many days old my LOs are... and one that tells me the weather... and a grocery list etc...

Well, I just switched from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy s6. The ONLY things I miss are facetime (which I never used anyway! but I liked being able to if I wanted to so easily) and imessage with allowed me to text with other bee mamma's around the world (and it hasn't stopped us, we just use facebook now).
Otherwise, I really wish I would have switched sooner. I can't even believe how much more I love the Galaxy than the iPhone.

@Ash: haha I'm sorry. Honestly, I reviewed the iPhone 6s and the Galaxy s6 to DEATH. They are both, equally, awesome phones. Seriously. They perform on the same level. They both have amazing cameras. What I took away from all the reviews I read was that it comes down to HOW you want to use your phone and if you like iPhone or Other.
Do you want freedom to do and change whatever? Go with Other.
Do you want to use iPhone and all their default, hard to change and maybe you can't change, apps? If you're OKAY with that (and there isn't necessarily anything wrong with their defaults, just... get used to them) then Go with iPhone.

DH just switched from an iPhone to a Samsung Note (I think). He is so happy he made the switch!
I still have an iPhone and I wish that DH still had the ability to face time with me and DD. He has also had issues with group text messages since switching phones. But his phone takes pictures that are SO MUCH nicer than the pictures that come off of my iPhone. I like the simplicity of my iPhone and I am undecided as to what I will do when my phone comes up for renewal next year.

If you really want to be able to change whatever you want, wherever you want, however you want, don't go with the iPhone. However if you have any other apple products, it is such a seamless interface between products, that ALONE is worth having an iPhone. I can read a webpage on my iPad, finish reading it on my phone (without having to look it up) share stuff SO easily, backup easily. It really is just seamless. Yet if you aren't married to the apple environment, maybe look elsewhere. My husband has had the samsung galaxy and loved it, and now has a sony xperia. The camera on the sony is ridiculous. Better than my iPhone 6s I think
ETA: iphones also hold their value well. I don't know if you can say the same for the other brands? I've easily sold both of my phones for 50% of what I paid for them (and probably could have sold them for more if I weren't so lazy)

Agree that if you have other apple products, an iphone makes sense. I just hate change so I've had iphones all these years and I will probably never change! I cannot deal with having to learn how to use a new phone!

@Littlebit7: Other phones don't hold their value like an iPhone. I think Samsung is a close second, but their value still decreases A LOT.

I adore my iPhone. Seriously ADORE it. I'm a Mac user who has a PC, but I love that it shares everything seamlessly with my iPad and when I get a Macbook it will sync with that too. It's so user friendly and I like how simple it is. Plus, customer support for Apple is awesome.

I have a galaxy s4, and one of the biggest things that will always hold me back from switching back to iPhone is the lack of designated back button! I try to use DH's iPhone sometimes and I get so puzzled when I try to go back to another screen... Back button addict. I would really miss all of the customization and widgets, too... I couldn't do it

The processing speed is unmatched. And the camera is incredible, on the iPhone 6S. I would never use anything else again.

I love the double tap to lower the screen. And the guided access triple click to lock kids in an app.

@Ash: so if you're holding your phone and you can't reach up to the top of the screen (say to open an app or change the URL) lightly double tap (not press just touch) the home button and it will shift everything on your screen down.
In settings turn on guided access. When your in an app you can triple click the home button and that way a toddler can't change to a different app.
