Today is the last day of school for my 12th graders and this morning I came to work to see 20+ cars parked in the middle of the courtyard. They had pretty much set up an early morning breakfast tailgate in the middle of campus with lawnchairs, music, and food. I thought it was hilarious.
Any memorable pranks from your HS years? Did students get in trouble? (our school officer started to write tickets but our principal shut that down pretty quickly!)

My senior year someone rented a crane and put a portapotty that had been on campus on the roof of the school. Lol I still have no idea how they pulled it off. No one got in trouble...it was pretty impressive!

I never did anything, but my husband was on the football team and their coach drove a little VW rabbit. They all carried his car into the middle of the football field. HA!
Unfortunately, after everyone laughed about it, the coach made them carry it back to the parking lot. hahaha

One year at my school the seniors put dixie cups filled with water covering every inch of floor in the academic building. They started in the middle of the building and worked their way out to the exits. It took so long to clean it all up we got to skip the first half of classes that day.

I don't remember anything when I was in HS, but my little brother and his friends pulled a pretty epic one involving live chickens that could (should) have gotten them in big trouble. He's a charmer and is somehow able to weasel his way out of pretty much anything, though, so nothing happened to them.

@Mrs. Taco: we did something similar our senior year (but the night prior we all were out to meet up at 2am and had a keg party in a field near the school! Oops) the tailgate was the hangover remedy. A few kids passed out in classes early in the day, and I remember walking into second period and the stench of beer was overwhelming.
It sounds bad, but it was actually great, I think every single senior attended the party & tailgate so it was a good last hurrah.

@Mrs. Taco: our students did a tailgate/camp out in our athletic fields!
We didn't really do anything, but one year, the seniors at my all girls school put bras in the trees with signs that said, "We're busting out!" Also, at the boy school, they put cement in the toilets once...

Welp, now it's turning into not so fun. They put baby oil up and down the hallways, on doorknobs, and in the bleachers. Our poor custodians.
@PurplePeony: There are going to be a few who need to charm their way out of the baby oil stunt. We have cameras all over campus so they'll be caught. I hope they can still walk because I know they're just not thinking about being stupid but on the flip side a few students fell really hard in the hallways and could have been seriously hurt.

@hellobeeboston: That actually sounds like fun! Luckily for me, the students don't have any classes today but I think that's part of the problem. Keeping them in the gym/auditorium all day makes them restless.

@Mrs. Taco: I'm glad they'll be able to catch them. About two years ago, we had seniors sneak in and dump some sort of gas/fuel in the science hallway. The fumes were noxious, and we had all school Mass that day, too. They were wearing hoodies and snuck in a weird way that the cameras didn't catch them.

@Mrs. Taco: Ugh, I hate senior pranks that involve lots of cleanup for the staff! I hope they catch them..it's so rude. The class before mine egged the whole school. There weren't cameras, but they were dumb enough to leave the egg cartons on the ground..all of which were from a grocery store nearby. They had cameras and found video of all the culprits making their egg purchases. It was hilarious. They spent their last week of school cleaning the mess up.
My class had a funny prank, though. They "borrowed" all of the inflatables from the car dealerships around town and set them up around the school. This was back when they all had things like giant gorillas and dog inflatables that were the size of a house. It was pretty hilarious to hear the announcement on the speakers that morning asking where they all went so they could be returned.

I don't remember what my class did for senior prank... during the years I was in HS they painted all the staircases pink, and they put dead fish in every other locker in the entire school. The fish one was awful. There was a legendary one from my HS in the '70s where the senior class took apart a junk car and rebuilt it around the flag pole. They had a picture of it framed in the school 25 years later, LOL.
