How did you know your LO had sensory issues as opposed to just being "finicky"?

My daughter is 4 this September. She's very sensitive to loud noise, changes in equilibrium (she panics if she's at all off balance, like on a chair), extremely sensitive to water temp (anything more that slightly Luke warm is "hot"), she wigs out if her hair isn't tight enough (pony tail), etc.

This is a tough age anyway, and I'll likely bring it up at her next ped appt anyway. But just curious!
