I haaate the TWW! I think I'm going to POAS sneakily tomorrow even though it's only 11dpo but I think I had a faint positive with LO#1 at 11dpo. So much for not wasting FRERs this time round!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@hilsy85: They certainly can be, when your body isn't cooperating!! I haven't ever had an issue before this cycle. I always get a positive on cd12 and O on cd13 but this cycle it was delayed for some reason. I thought I wasn't going to O at all and then finally got a positive on cd 16. Weird. But with your temp rise it sounds like you did O, but maybe it was a short surge that you missed?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Mrs squirreld: Good luck!! I got a bfp with my first at 10DPO. Wasn't even that faint!
@MrsBrewer: hmmmm... crazy cycle! Hope it's because you are KU!
squash / 13764 posts
@travellingbee: maybe? I even tried testing 2x on saturday, and they were both negative...I also got a negative this morning. maybe I would have gotten a positive if I'd been able to tes properly on sunday. Oh well...we BD'd on Thurs, sat, and sun, and maybe today again, so hopefully we've got our bases covered if I did O, and I guess I will just see what my temp and OPK's do!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@hilsy85: Yeah, that's what I'd assume, I think. Sounds like good timing.
We hit O-5,O-3, O-1 and O. I was hoping for more like every day rather than EOD but it snuck up on us because it was delayed. Oh well. Still pretty good, I think.

It looks like we officially hit O-3, O-2, and O - and thus, the two week wait begins. Anyone doing anything fun while they wait? I've got a date night scheduled with DH for the day AF is due (either to celebrate or commiserate) but I need to distract myself in the meantime!
pea / 14 posts
@raspberries: Thank you for the warm welcome! The date-night on AF due-date is a great idea!
I've unfortunately been googling everything, and obsessing over symptoms, so I have to find some alternative TWW hobbies! I am going back to the gym, so that will be a good distraction!
Best of luck during the wait!

Well, I'm in shock, did not expect it to happen so quickly after it took 6months with LO#1 but eeeeeek 11dpo

@hilsy85: hmm your timing sounds okay. How annoying when we pay ood money for this technology and it fails us! I'm so bummed -- we would have been total twins this cycle. I'm 99% sure I ovulated today.

I have no idea what's going on with me. Last month I O'd on CD24. Today is CD18. I had what I thought was a darkening OPK on Sunday, but this morning and this afternoon, they've been lighter. I had some cramps yesterday which I suppose could be O pains. We BD yesterday, but weren't able to for a few days before that due to my dad visiting.
I was really wishing my cycles would shorten a little (39 days last time), but now I have no clue what's going on. I guess my plan is to just keep BDing EOD for at least the rest of this week.

@Mrs squirreld: Congrats! very exciting
Sorry I forgot to post but I got a BFN. On the plus side, this cycle seemed to be 35 days rather than the 49 days I had before having my DS.
We are going to try for one more month then put it off for awhile. DH has an opportunity to travel to the UK for Rugby next September and because his trip will be extremely cheap due to sponsorship it makes sense for me and DS to go with him as we have been meaning to go to Europe for ages. I don't mind travelling with a baby but not younger than 2 months old and I def do not want to be 9 months pregnant while DH is on the other side of the world! So if it doesn't happen for us next month we will wait until next year to try again.
squash / 13764 posts
@snickers: that sounds like it would be an amazing opportunity!! I hope it happens next month for you
@Tidybee: I hope so! I forgot to take my temp this morning, whoops--kind of glad that I"ll have one less thing to obsess over!! I'm so sorry that you have to sit this month out I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get your sticky baby next month!! How are you feeling about everything? Have you seen your doc for any testing yet?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@JennyG: sometimes it is so confusing!!
@snickers: how exciting! Sorry about the BFN- hope this next cycle is it for you!
@Mrs squirreld: wow! Congrats!! We needed some positive news here!

@Mrs squirreld: congrats!!!!
Well I might still be in the running actually. I think I did O this cycle, just really late. Like CD31 late. The only bad thing is, is that I thought I was out already so we weren't BD as much. We really only hit O day, and like O-4. Hopefully that's enough.
Does anyone know anything about late ovulation and if you can sustain a pregnancy. The reason I ask is because I remember my doctor saying something along the lines of the later it is in your cycle, something with your uridine lining and it would be harder for the fertilized egg to attach. Am I totally off base with this?

@MrsBrewer: I've never heard that, which in no way means it isn't true. As I keep trying to tell myself, it only takes one....

@Mrs squirreld: Congratulations!
@MrsBrewer: My cycles are usually 45 days, and I O on day 31 every cycle - my obgyn says it's absolutely fine, as long as your LP is a decent length. That's in the context of having a regular longer cycle, though - I'm not sure if a one-off late O has a worse chance, but I wouldn't let it worry you!

@raspberries: okay, I'm wondering if I just took what he said out of context as well? Who knows!

Lots to catch up on!
@Mrs. Microscope: I didn't know that about green tea. I think I'll try that this cycle (if I can remember). Anything potentially helpful is worth trying!
@Tidybee: I'm sorry you are taking this month off. It's so hard to wait! Thinking about you!
@MrsADS, @travellingbee, @Lolarelli, @raspberries: <fx> for you!
@Hoots, @JennyG: <hugs> our bodies can be so frustrating.
@Mrs squirreld: Congratulations!!!!!!! HOORAY for a !
@snickers: Really hoping October is your month what an awesome opportunity for DH and for you and DS. I've always wanted to go to the UK. So cool!
@MrsBrewer: I'm not sure about the uterine lining, but I do know that my friend who is due this month o'd really late in her cycle too, so <fx>

@MrsBrewer: yeah I agree with @raspberries: it's all about the length of your LP. I got pregnant with my first son on a 62 day cycle!!

@Mrs squirreld: Oh wow that's awesome!! Alright well I'm still hopeful then! Hopefully the 1 BD session on O day is enough though!

@Lolarelli: Thanks! Going to the gym is a good idea - I've been hitting it about twice a week, but maybe this TWW is a good time to bump it up a notch. I always sleep better after working out too - less time laying in bed to analyze whether that faint twinge after lunch was implantation or gas.

@MrsBrewer: I am outing myself as a lurker/cheerleader on this thread! Anyway, I have an almost 17 month old LO who was conceived on a cycle where I ovulated around day 35 I think? I wouldn't worry too much about that

@Mrs squirreld: oh my goodness!!! Congratulations! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

@sslm: Yay! I love lurkers on here! I feel like you guys have such amazing input to give! Thanks for the encouragement!! I will try and stay hopeful now for sure!

I'm hesitant to post this, but this is what this morning looked like at 9DPO (I think?). It's a lot lighter than when I got pregnant with LO.
What's funny is that the line appeared right after the 5 minute mark. I read a ton of evaporation line sites last night to be sure what I was seeing. The sites kept on saying that after 5 minute mark, it's null.
I'm going to test again closer to my AF being due as well. The lightness seems weird to me, but getting a BFP around 8-9DPO is how my body worked with LO too.
