Subscribing! I'm on the hunt for a diaper bag that is gender neutral for boy/girl baby and both DH and I. Also looking for a brown one that isn't $200 haha

I want a diaper bag that doesn't weight 10 lbs when it's empty! All the cute ones I see seem to be really heavy, boo. But I'm sure someone out there has the perfect bag...

I have this bag. I wanted a bag that looked like something I would use for a purse, not something that screamed diaper bag, but since LO is a boy, I changed out the pink changing pad (which was cloth and I prefer something water-resistant).

Here's mine, a lovely picture of my bag and the stuff I normally keep in it.

We have the skip hop dash: http://www.amazon.com/Skip-Hop-Dash-Deluxe-Black/dp/B000YFW1LM in charcoal. I haven't decided yet if I"m also going to splurge on a more stylish bag, like the kate spade stevie or a storksak one. I figure we'll see how much we like this one once LO gets here!

It is darker than that photo! The bag is a true olive color - i love it!

my diaper bag isn't at all what you're looking for, but i thought i would share anyway
it's the vera bradley baby bag in va va bloom. i picked this bag before i even knew the gender. i didn't want to pick a traditional boy/girl diaper bag. i figure i'm the one carrying the bag, not the baby, so it should be something i like. it's my purse for the next two years after all!

@photojane: I felt the same way - I wanted a bag that I would carry anyway, not just because of the baby. And I get tons of compliments on my 'purse'.
cute bag!

I have the Storksak Olivia. It is a little pricey but I love it and got it during Bloomingdales 20% off F&F sale. I like that it doesn't scream diaper bag. It is also really well made.

I bought a coach diaper bag when I was still in the first trimester, but it wasn't as practical as the Timi and Leslie that DH got me for Mother's Day.

I bought this one onsale at the online outlet sale for $89. Not sure how practical it is yet as LO hasnt arrived.

Storksak Elizabeth, a Mother's Day present from DH. I had been lusting after it but am not the best at splurging on myself.

This is my bag (and everything usually in it) but I want one that was designed to be a cross-body bag.
Mine is a bungalow 360 pocket bag, about 13 x 7 x 4?
I would love a leather bag, too! Let us know when you find yours!

Same here!! I wanted something leather, or high-quality faux-leather, crossbody and something that I would carry even if I didn't have a baby!
I found this amazing bag on Bluefly - so it's not really a diaper bag but I like that about it.
It's a GREAT size- big, yes - but I have traveled on a plane with it multiple times and it holds everything.
I SO wish it wasn't sold out, or that they would reissue it - because it IS the perfect bag.

@Mrs. Yoyo: oh that is beautiful!!
@zippylef: your bag is awesome!!
@rachiecakes: is that big enough?!!

@Coco Bee: Thanks! I love the one you posted too! My only complaint about mine is that it is just a teeny bit small.

Mine is by baby boom. I got it from walmart for about $25. I chose it because it's nice and neutral and doesnt scream baby. Its actually been better than I expected, and my cloth diapers fit in there just fine.

I have the Skip Hop Studio Diaper bag. It's my every day work/pump equipment bag and diaper bag when I'm out with LO. I had a Timi & Leslie bag that didn't end up working for us and my husband has one of those daddy diaper bags that the nanny also uses.

I have the Skip Hop Duo in black! Very DH friendly!
I have a marvellllllous Roots leather bag DH got me that is a great everyday bag that I have been told I will convert in to a diaper bag eventually (says the ladies from Roots!) but we will see!

Too lazy to take pics of mine, but I found some pics on ebay
I have the Kate Spade Serena Nylon Messenger.
Black and Green on the inside!

I have my eye on this one. It can be a backpack or cross-body bag. I plan on baby wearing a lot in the beginning (we're walking distance to everything) so I like that I can wear it as a backpack. My friend baby wears a lot and she has a similar one.

I have a Skip Hop Versa. I like it but I probably need a bigger bag when baby #2 arrives...since they will both be in cloth diapers!
coconut / 8279 posts
@pastemoo: @Coco Bee: I feel like it's HUGE! It has many pockets eight on the inside and four on the outside. I can fit 4 diapers, two bottles, pacifiers, nursing cover, changing pad, wipes case and a change of clothes. I usually keep my items in a small wristlet and use the big outside pocket for that.
The only thing I didn't like was the cloth changing pad. I bought a JJCole diaper clutch and use the changing pad that came with it.

love the Skip Hop bags!
we also have a Diaper Dude that DH uses and LOVES. I got it for him for Father's Day.

mine isn't a diaper bag but i made it into one :)!
i have the LV Damier Azur Totally GM. i tend to over pack so this bag works perfectly for us. a bit pricey but on the bright side, i will be able to use it for a lifetime.

I have the Marc Jacobs Pretty Eliza, and the Petunia Pickle Bottom Journey.

I have this bag, I'll be honest, I absolute HATE it. The bag is heavy without anything in it, with all of the baby's stuff in it, its even heavier. I bought hooks so I can just attach it to my stroller because it was killing my shoulders/back.
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@hellobeeboston: Wow! I like that one!
I hate my diaper bag. But... it's worth having an ugly bag to be able to stay home.
@me0wmeeh: Aww. I hate my bag, too.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Oh i need to keep an eye on this thread. DH would like a leather messenger bag and his birthday is right after the baby is due, so I will probably get him that! And maybe some baseball tickets
I've heard great things about the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags. I'm just not sure what I want to go with, but I don't mind having something nice to carry around! I LOVE my large kate spade, but i don't like her diaper bags much

@Mrs. Yoyo: OMG that's gorrrgeous!! It looks huge! I can't believe it's actually not.
I registered for the JJ Cole canvas one but I'm secretly hoping to find a deeply discounted awesome one at the consignment sale next weekend...

I've heard the Petunia Picklebottom bags are actually really annoying and too deep -- anybody have them that can verify or deny?

I love mine. It is cute and was easy on the pocketbook.
