Help! I just got the label maker out but I'm sure there is an easier way to do things. Anyone?

I literally throw all of her clothes into her dresser. Same with her toys! They all go in a plastic container..
Sorry--no tips here!

We have a 3-drawer wardrobe:
top drawer = onesies (longsleeve and short sleeve)
2nd drawer = pants
3rd drawer = bulky blankets (ie. knitted ones)
In the closer, we put her "outfits"...We also have a hanging closet organizer. Does that help?

When I organize my own clothes I hang them in category like short sleeves, long sleeves, dresses, etc. Then I organize each category by color.

My husband is a SAHD and absolutely freaks out if he has to change her clothes and cant figure out what goes together so the way I organize is based on that. To hold her clothes we have 2 three drawer plastic bins. Everything in the top two drawers and the middle drawer on the left side is paired into matching outfits. We're in FL so top to are warmer weather clothes, middle is long sleeve clothes. The middle drawer on the left side is pants/shorts/skirts. Bottom drawer on left is short sleeve shirts/onsies and right drawer is long sleeve shirts/onsies. Dresses and fancy outfits hang in the closet. I also have a munchkin organizer that holds her shoes, socks, hair accessories, etc.

I match all the outfits after I do laundry so that it is a no brainer to dress her - meaning even my hubby can do it!

@Laneybugsmommy: I've been looking for something to hold my two DDs hair accessories! They are adding up!!! If you have a link to the organizer you use, I'd love to see it!! thanks!

I used to organize everything according to outfits, I am a big fan of Baby Gap's pants/jacket/onesie "sets." Since we use an armoire, I have a sectioned storage compartment where I put outfits, onesies, pajamas and socks, according to size. I have one for the current size and one for the next size up. Honestly, it requires maintenance and I just don't have the desire to keep it up like I used to, but it could work for someone!

@tana_bk: I do that with my own clothes. I intend to clear out one drawer for baby, and just have piles.
Label maker is waaaaaay organized! I am not that organized.

@Laneybugsmommy: my husband dresses my lo silly on purpose. He blames it on being color blind, but he can see the difference in patterns. Today she has on striped pants with a completely different stripe socks.
I have a pretty big dresser so I just keep all different things (long sleeve, short sleeve, pants, swim suits, bibs, socks and hats, and pjs) in different drawers. Hair accessories are in a jewelry box. Shoes are in a basket in the closet. Dresses and coats are hung up.
I have a toy box that has all the toys she's too small for, a basket for the toys she plays with now, and stuffed animals are on her pottery barn chair. Books are on a little wooden bench that I'm using as a bookshelf.

@NYCaliMama: When I was a little girl, I had one of those wire mesh hanging fruit baskets (the kind with 2 levels). I could put my headbands, elastics, ribbons, etc in the basket part and then my hair bows that were on clips were hung around the rim of the baskets. It was a really good way to store everything so it was easy to get to.

@Laneybugsmommy: Wow, one for hair accessories too!!
@pastemoo: yah, my labels immediately fell off (unstuck) the fabric shelf organizer.
I think I will try putting some sets together. That should help. Thanks so much. She was onesies and baby legs forever. Now it's tops, bottoms, shorts, skorts....man...I have issues with my own closet. Now I have hers to deal with.
