The expression "It's raining cats and dogs" comes from a time when roofs where made of thatching & animals would hide in the roofing to keep warm. If it rained a lot the hay would get slippery & any hiding animals would literally fall from the ceiling.

@jhd: its sounds so weird, but I find that its true in real life! My office only has 30 some people but there are at least two shared birthdays. it also held true on my freshman year dorm hall. My husband and nephew have the same birthday and so do my brother and his wife. But I've never met anyone with my birthday!

Date of conception with C was 2.2 and I was due 10.27 with her.

Apparently this data is actually a little weirder, most common birthday is September 16 meaning most common conception date is December 24, Christmas Eve.
