We used a crib in our room.

We used a pack n play in our room for the first several months.

We used the uppa baby bassinet for 5.5 months. Transition to crib wasn't that bad. However we did not have space for a crib in our room so that wasn't even an option.

Bassinet. Getting the kid to actually sleep in it...well...

We had a bassinet in the bedroom and a PnP in the living room. Baby outgrew the bassinet by six weeks, and it didn't matter bc we used the rock n play instead!

Just something to consider - baby will outgrow the bassinet really quickly & you'll need aomethibf else!

If you have the room, and don't mind moving it when the baby is older, I'd vote crib in your situation.

We plan on using the crib. DS slept in the crib from day one and I'm very happy about that. I'm glad we never had to deal with transitioning him into the crib - we had enough sleep issues as it was. That said, we may end up using a bassinet if we can't transition DS to a big boy bed in time.

We have the crib up in our room. Did the same with LO1 and it worked well for us.

We used our PNP, our oldest was 2 years, 2 months when #2 was born- we made the transition about 2ish months later, it worked perfectly! He was ready for the big boy bed by then and we were ready to kick our youngest out into his own room.

I had no need at all for a bassinet since you don't use them for very long, the PNP was perfect and we use it all the time when we travel, and as a mobile baby "cage"/ball pit when he's being a handful.

We have used a crib from day 1. It's pushed up against my side of the bed and has the side down. I didn't see the point in using a bassinet that would only last a few months.

We used a pack and play (specifically the Nuna Sena). We also used the UB bassinet downstairs, but I'd say it wouldn't work for too long because the padding isn't very supportive and eventually their head leaves a dent. LO was on the small side, too.

We are planning on using the bassinet that came with our uppababy in our bedroom once our LO arrives, and after a couple of months transitioning her into the nursery with a crib.
