I went to an evening mass last night and a lovely couple sat down in front of me. They had two young boys less than 2 years old that are either the same age or really dang close to the same age & an infant. The baby started fussing so the woman just pulled out her boob and started nursing with out a cover. I could see what was happening and so did the little girl across the way. Her reaction was priceless lol! A look of confusion and then shock as she turned to her mom to tell her. Of course the teens in front of this nursing couple giggled & our priest squirmed a little but no one said a thing otherwise.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm all about breastfeeding in public but I do think using a cover is the most appropriate way to go about it & appreciate it when they are used. Otherwise it does create a distraction. Also our church does have a nursery & nursing room that has mass playing over speakers so you don't miss a thing.
What do you think was this a bold move? Would you have done it or have you done it?
