Has anyone found good "first walker" shoes for their low-tone toddler? DD is 18 months and walking with assistance, and her PT wants me to find her some "better" shoes. Criteria are a very flexible sole, but decent ankle support.

We currently wear Pediped mary janes - the PT likes the sole, but wanted something that goes slightly higher on the ankle. I brought in a pair of Surprize by Stride Rite summer shoes, and the PT still thought there could be more ankle support (and additionally found the sole a little stiff for her liking).

She didn't have any specific brand recommendations - she says she used to say Stride Rite, but now isn't really liking what she sees.

Wondering what else has worked for people....are the See Kai Run shoes any higher on the ankle? Thanks for any leads!
