I love love the land of nod canopies, but I am so not paying $189 for one!!! Have you seen anything similar (and similar level of cuteness) and hopefully under $75?

I totally understand. They are the best, but sooo expensive! We are ttc and I've look around at some just for fun. It looks like it might be for a boy? There are some copycat diys out there if you are crafty & there are some options they are just not quite as nice as the land of nod ones!
The first one is a tent but has a similar whimsical feel as the their mushroom canopy.

This isn't a canopy but our daycare just bought these play tents from Ikea and they are super cheap and really big! My 3 year old and a friend can comfortably fit inside and play, and they love that they can close the door and be totally away from the parents! There is also a circus tent one I think.
