So I've only charted for one full cycle so far and it was my first cycle off BC, but I'm curious about my luteal phase. It was only 10 days. Is that considered too short? It seemed short to me... I guess it could be longer my next cycle since I'm probably still regulating, but... who knows.
How long is your luteal phase? What's considered "too short" for implantation?

Mine's 10 - well, I get AF on Day 11. Not sure if that's normal or not, but it's normal for me!

While I'm no expert, I think as long your LP is 10, you are OK. There are ways you can try to increase your LP (taking progesterone, maybe B6?) - check with your doctor about this though.

@Rachel: @winniebee: Thanks ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one with a LP of 10! Hopefully that's long enough for getting pregnant!
I think I'll see what it is for the next couple cycles and if it stays short, I'll ask my doctor about it. It could increase since I'm presumably still regulating off BC.

Mine is around 10-12 days too. I think you're fine if it's 10 days and over. At least it makes the TWW a little shorter!

@mrskc and @Adira: Mine is on the short side, too, 12-13 days. When I went to acupuncture for the first time last week, she said she was hoping to lengthen it by a day or two. But I agree with being happy with a shorter wait time!

Has anyone tried Vitamin B-6? I just did a little googling about short luteal phases, and it says you can try taking a B-6 supplement. I'm thinking it's water soluble, so it can't hurt, so long as you keep the dosage low - there's something about possible nerve damage if you take more than 300mg a day or something.

@mrskc: I've only been once (2nd time tomorrow), but she had some really interesting things to say that make sense to me. My circulation seems poor because my feet and hands are always cold. Poor circulation is bad for providing adequate blood flow to your uterus. Cold feet = cold uterus in Eastern medicine terms. And I also have some clotting with AF and dark red/brown flow (rather than bright red) which also corresponds to a lack of circulation. She suggested keeping my feet warm at all times (I've got them on a heating pad whenever I'm sitting now), additional exercise, and the possibility of adding some herbs. I've also been reading on foods that improve circulation, so ginger tea, avocado, and garlic have been added to my daily meals. All easy things and if it helps, great! And the session itself was extremely relaxing, so I'm hoping it helps with reducing stress and anxiety, too.

@Rachel: Hey Rachel - I just started taking B6 to see if it would lengthen my LP - mine is around 10-11 days also... I am only taking 50mg a day with my prenatal, last month I didn't really notice a difference - we'll see if it does anything this month - although, I screwed up my OPKs this month so I won't be able to compare... but i figure a little extra b-6 can't hurt!

@Rachel: I took B6 for a few months (time released, 500mg), though I was doing so to increase CM. I didn't find that it had much of an effect on me, either for CM or LP.

My LP was only ten days when I first come off BC and it's now stretched out to eleven-twelve days. You might find that as your body gets used to regulating itself you might find that LP stretches out a wee bit. We got our BFP after ten cycles of active TTC.

My first LP after going off BC was only 7-8 days long 
It's majorly freaking me out, I'm only 12 days into my second cycle so I don't have anything to compare it to but I'm REALLY hoping it goes longer this time!

@Trailmix: Don't worry! My LP got longer after that first one. Now it's 13 days long, so hopefully your LP gets longer as well! Good luck!

@GreenThumb: My hands and especially my feet are ALWAYS cold too. I wonder if at least wearing socks more often will help me?
