DD is almost 19 months old and sleep has been wonky since she turned one. We've turned a corner and things are back to normal for the most part, with the only difference being she now wakes between 5:30 and 6:30 every morning (a 6:30 morning is a glorious, few-and-far-between treat these days) whereas she used to sleep until 7.
She goes down between 7 and 7:30 consistently, but recently has been taking a long time to fall asleep. She'll roll around, talk to herself, yell "night night," etc for up to an hour before she's actually out. A couple of times over the past two weeks she's actually started crying and we've had to go in and explain that it was bedtime and time for night night and all that in order to get her to settle back down.
Do you think putting her to bed closer to 8 would be better? I'm so wary of doing that (I'm 25 weeks pregnant, lol) in case it would actually make things WORSE, but I want to find the sweet spot for bedtime and ideally get to sleep later than 5:30 again, too.
Any ideas welcome!

And at this age it is way harder to let him cry. It's louder and sadder and they throw a "mummy" in there with it. Lol. During the 18 month regression I always went in to him during the night and if he would happen to wake up crying from nap or night sleep I'll totally go in. So I get it!
