At what age did your LO start sitting in a chair + table on their own? Do you get much use of it? Which one do you have?

We have this one but I don't like the chairs. They are sturdy (I can sit on them) but they are hard for her to get in and out of without tipping over. There is no weight to them. The table is a good size though.

Subscribing - I'm also looking to get LO a chair/table set soon (she's only 13.5 months right now). I'm thinking maybe when she's around 18 months?

We are looking at what we are going to do...the main issue i have is the seating for adults. We like to sit at LO's table, but the little chairs don't stand up to us sitting on them.
What we're thinking of doing instead of chairs is storage ottomans, you know those square ones with the lid that flips off? Bonus they are also used for storage and we can use them when LO is older.

We have 2 Hudson chairs from PBK and I like them. LO can tip them over if he tries hard enough, but it takes deliberate effort. We have carpet flooring--I think they might be easier to tip on wood or tile.
We didn't buy a table, because the chairs were on sale when I got them, but the tables weren't, and I have an old coffee table that works for now.
We get a lot of use out of the chairs--they're a step-stool to the bathroom sink, a place to sit and color, etc. I wouldn't classify them as a "necessary" purchase, because LO happily climbs into and sits in normal-sized chairs too, but I'm happy we have them.

I confess I can't find exactly what I am looking for and I am seriously thinking about crafting my own table to fit storage ottomans underneath!

One of the families I work with has the same set as @pelikila: and we really like it, it is a nice size and weight, the kids are tiny (2 & 4) and they have no problems with it and they have had it for over a year now. Originally she ordered it in an espresso finish but it showed every mark, they replaced it quickly and we have had no issues with the lighter finish, in fact I don't even see the darker one any more online.
The PBK tables are great too, they are beautiful and very sturdy but everyone I know with them has them in white so I don't know about the darker finish. I wish they had a coating of some sort on them though, crayon fills in the wood grain nicely and it is a royal pain to get it out.

We have a carolina craft table in white and white chairs.
LO started sitting at it when she turned 1. She uses it daily. Love it!The chairs are really sturdy and DH and I sit in them all the time too.
