Do your kids play together?
Mine love to play with each other. Of course they drive each other crazy at times, but for the most part it seems they enjoy having each other. We have a cousin with kids similar ages to ours and they said their kids don't really pay any attention to each other, which I thought was interesting.

Yup, constantly. My niece and nephew don't play with each other!

@Andrea: how old are your niece and nephew?
Most sibling pairs I know play together a lot. My kids will be 5 years apart so I'm not sure how much they'll play together.

@sandy: same as my kids, 2.5 years. They just have wildly different personalities so I think it's more that than the age gap. I also don't think their parents try to foster a close sibling relationship. Maybe I am wrong, but that's my impression!

Yes, they all play well together. I thought it would be an issue with the baby (almost 11 months) but my 4 & 3 year olds always include her.

Mine are 22 months apart - at four and two they've now really started to play together! Sometimes it's just playing with the same toys (both building bunk beds out of bristle blocks) next to each other, but many times now it's a collaborative activity or imaginative pretend play, which just makes my heart glow! They argue sometimes, but overall really seem to enjoy each other.

My twins play independently a lot. They have pretty different interests - B would rather be playing with trains or trucks, while A would rather play with her stuffed animals or play kitchen. I realize that sounds like such stereotypical boy and girl stuff, but it's really what they gravitate toward! When they do play together, it ends up in fighting a lot right now (they are 2). More and more they are learning to play well together, but it's a work in progress.

Mine are only just under 3 and 10 months, but I've been surprised about how often they DO play together, because I don't expect it at all at this age--but today they spent about 20 minutes flopping on these giant floor cushions my in-laws have and screaming in laughter with each other. So cute.

Mine are a year apart and play together all day long. I rarely, if ever, have to entertain them. I do have to break up a lot of petty fights though!

Not really. DD2 is 11.5 months old and she always snatches DD1's (3.5 years old) toys and she gets annoyed.

Mine are 3 years apart and play together all the time! I love when they wear backpacks around the house and pretend it's scuba diving equipment.

5 and 3, both girls and they play a lot, dolls, running around the house chasing each other, watching each other's tablets, singing and dancing, but it also comes with a whole lot of fighting too, it all sort of depends on the older one's mood, since the younger one just goes along with whatever is happening.
