Haha. This weekend, my Aunt made a comment that we should Skype her during the birth of our LO. She was joking but my horrified look gave her the answer to that if she hadn't been. 
I did tell her that we would Skype with her after our LO is born so she can "meet" her as early as possible.
Did you or do you plan to use Skype at all while you are in the hospital?

Um hell no to the delivery room. But I'd imagine we would Facetime with my family after delivery.

I think we will just wait till we get home... if for some reason I was far away from my husband or my parents I would want to skype right away but anyone else can wait.

LOL, no way! But would be happy to Skype or facetime with family members once I am decent, clean, settled to introduce them to LO....most likely won't happy til we are home though.

We didn't. I saw a one born every minute or some show like that where she skyped with her aunt during delivery. Only reason I would is if dh couldn't be there for some reason.

My cousin was deployed for the birth of his firstborn, so his wife had their mothers there with her and he watched via skype. Such a blessing for a situation like that, but I can't imagine any other in which I'd want that!

Not in the delivery room, but I might FaceTime with my sisters once we are in the postpartum unit.

We considered it, but I gave birth on a Sunday, so everyone was at church! Our hospital had free wifi so we got to hop online and check email, etc.

My little sister just gave birth to my nephew on Saturday, I'm 39.5 weeks pregnant and couldn't travel the 250 miles north to be there with her. We skyped about 30 mins after to she gave birth and was all cleaned up. It was so great to get to meet my nephew at the same time as everyone else. My older sister took a picture of my brother in law holding the iPad over my nephew the first time we met him - it's such a great picture and I am so glad I could be there (virtually) with everyone else. We plan to skype my sister in after the birth of our little one.

Umm, no, not during delivery. I did facetime with my brother and my SIL while they were in the hospital. I think it was a day or two after the birth. I was a few states away.

Not during delivery, but maybe in the postpartum unit. It depends how baby and mommy are feeling. Our families are several states away, so I am sure they would enjoy Skyping with us then.

We Skyped the next day with both sets of parents and siblings. No way was that happening in my delivery room... although one of the hospitals we looked at had it as an option!

Eww, not mid-delivery! But I have a brother, sister-in-law, and niece live on another continent, so skype will definitely be used soon after we have our first LO.
